Rob is a second generation Corpus Christian. He and his wife, Tammy, spend their spare time investing in the lives of children in community. Both are Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA’s), helping the court protect the best interests of children placed in the foster care system. Rob serves as an Elder and Tammy is the children’s minister in a local church. Together they own and manage La Plumeria Bed & Breakfast in Corpus Christi. They both love fine dining, good wine and live jazz.
Rob has been practicing architecture in Corpus Christi since graduating from Texas Tech University in 1972. He joined the firm McCord & Lorenz in 1992 which later evolved into WKMC Architects and became a partner in 1996. During his career, he has had the privilege of serving on teams designing landmark projects such as the United States Federal Courthouse, Nueces County Courthouse, Central Public Library, Whataburger Field, Wells Fargo Bank Tower and Towers II and III.
