Austin, TX, December 11, 2018 – The Texas Society of Architects (TxA), the state component of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), is pleased to announce that Connie G. Rivera, AIA, of Corpus Christi has been named its 2019 President-Elect. Rivera, a project architect at WKMC Architects, was elected by chapter delegates voting at TxA’s Annual Business Session, held in Fort Worth this past November.
WKMC architect Jennifer Hilliard has served as president of the Corpus Christi Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) through 2017, and as her term comes to a close, we sat down with her to talk about the AIA, her role with the organization, and how her profession helps create better communities.
As an unusually active 2017 hurricane season comes to a close, it’s back to normal for some residents along the Gulf Coast.
