This 22,000 SF two-story structure features a bayfront Community Room that is capable of accommodating events for up to 60 people. The bank’s lobby, executive offices, new account services, tellers, loan offices and insurance and stock exchange services ring the first floor as you enter the building. Adjacent to the building and toward the back side, there are six drive-thru lanes to accommodate the bank’s large customer base at this location.
This was the first of three bank headquarters where a palette of similar materials and shapes were used to create brand identification for IBC. Regionally sourced Texas pink granite was crushed and used as an exposed aggregate finish in highly durable, structural precast wall panels. Radiused forms of granite and marble tiles highlight the entrance and embrace the bay view. The cantilevered concrete canopy over the motor bank lanes was designed to be essentially immune to the corrosive marine environment and hurricane events while still exhibiting elegance appropriate to the overall character of the building.
