Nestled between existing oak trees, the buildings on the campus of this new 58,215 SF junior high school were designed to protect the natural environment. The overall character of the campus is strongly linked to the site and the environment.
All classrooms utilize natural light. Library windows open northward to showcase the woods beyond the campus. The Gymnasium is designed as a full-competition gym that seats 1,000 and also serves the adjacent high school campus.
The buildings use the same brick as the newly constructed adjacent High School Academic Building. Galvanized metal roofing was used as an architectural design element.
